Loved the trip! It is a very good combination with knowing the last original greenness of the island, a bit tracking and plants knowledge learning(medical and spiritual way). You can also arrive early to visit the local villages here, beautiful views as well. The trip provider Massimo is also a sweet gentleman, who lives in a very interesting house in the middle of the valley, visiting his place and having tea there was a unique experience. I learned a lot from his local and his own life experience. Thanks a lot and wish you the best! Highly recommend!

My husband booked this experience knowing how much our family love nature. He thought learning about the magic of plants whilst trekking would be an interesting adventure and he wasn’t wrong. Massimo made us feel very welcome with a lovely cup of herbal tea and some honeyed pear before we set off into the ravine. Make sure you have good hiking shoes and sticks as it is steep in parts but the kids handled it well and were entranced by the views and interesting plants - as well as the unexpected pack of wild chickens😂. Massimo is happy to answer any questions (our 8 year old had a lot!) and was a wonderful host on a memorable day. We definitely recommend this to anyone with an interest in plant medicine and seeing an untouched part of Gran Canaria. ¡Muchas gracias Massimo!

What an incredible experience today. Massimo, my guide and herbalist Green Witch, is a wonderful man, his passion and experience are spectacular. Whilst he is very humble regarding his knowledge of local and international flora, he has a depth of character and experience seldom seen in today's society.

Great communication before, during and after the session.. He is a polite, kind and generous soul whom naturally exudes positive energy, understanding and a sense of serenity.

From the moment I met him, I felt comfortable, his home which he welcomed me in to, is simply stunning and in keeping with his craft.. An absolute joy to behold.. The refreshments offered were a welcome element, beautifully presented and indeed with local ingredients.

He has a wonderful companion dog whom is also a delight and the trek down into the rainforest with a thorough brief on many local and importanted plants, was delightful.. I indeed am a rookie in terms of herbology, but Massimo has given me a great insight, and indeed further reading.. He gave me a beautiful gift to, one which I will use and treasure as a momentum of my time in his world.. It was wonderful.. I highly recommend this session, leave the beach and the razzmatazz of the South for an afternoon and go see this guy, you won't regret it and indeed I left feeling a sense of peace and relaxation. A Totally Unique experience, which shows another side to Gran Canaria and the hidden secrets and magic it has to offer.

We had an excellent time on this tour, learning all about the intricacies of this special island, and the powerful connection between humans and all that grows around us. Massimo is not only knowledgeable on these matters, but he's also a great storyteller, recounting the history and implications of the connection between humans and plants and why that still matters today. We left with greater knowledge ourselves, and our own constitution of how we interact with the world around us. This tour is ideal for those curious about the plant world, those who wish to better understand the spiritual world and the connection to this island, or for those who simply enjoy nature and want to more know about it! On a practical note, the hike does involve a good amount of uphill walking, so do come prepared. But rest assured, Massimo does his best to "go at your own pace" and so we rarely noticed ourselves out of breath :)

I loved everything about this experience! As you enter the beautiful rustic farmhouse, you're greeted with sweet smelling incense, enchanting music and a tea with freshly picked herbs from the garden.

The walk down the ravine punctuated with tastes and smells of nature served up by Massimo together with an explanation of their benefits and history was a treat indeed.
